استاد کی عظمت۔The greatness of the teacher.

ایوب خان  ملکہ برطانیہ اور ان کے شوہر کو پاکستان دورے کے دوران برن ہال سکول ایبٹ آباد لے گئے، ملکہ تو ایوب خان کے ساتھ بچّوں سے ہاتھ ملاتی آگے بڑھ گیئں، اُن کے شوہر بچّوں سے باتیں کرنے لگے، پُوچھا کہ بڑے ہو کے کیا بننا ہے، بچّوں نے کہا ڈاکٹر ، انجنیئر ، آرمی آفیسر ،  پائلٹ ، وغیرہ وغیرہ۔

وہ کچھ خاموش ہو گئے پھرلنچ پر  ایوب خان سے کہا کہ آپ کو اپنے ملک کے مستقبل کا کچھ سوچنا چاہیے، میں نے بیس بچّوں سے بات کی۔ کسی نے یہ نہیں کہا کہ اسے ٹیچر بننا ہے اور یہ بہت خطرناک  ہے... ایوب خان صرف مسکرا دیے کچھ جواب نہ دے سکے اور یہ ہمارے لیے لمحہ فکریہ ہے

آج تہذیب و تمدن کی یہ جو اتنی بڑی عمارت کھڑی ہے۔ اس کے پیچھے اْسی شفیق و محترم ہستی کا ہاتھ ہے جسے اتالیق یا استاد کہتے ہیں۔ دنیا کے بڑے بڑے بادشاہ ، جن کی گردن ہمہ وقت اکڑی رہتی تھی ، اپنے اساتذہ کے سامنے ہمیشہ سر جھکا دیا کرتے تھے۔’’ سکندرِ اعظم ‘‘یونانی جس نے آدھی سے زیادہ دنیا اپنی تلوار کی دھار پر فتح کی ،’’ ارسطو ‘‘جیسے معلم اول کا شاگرد تھا

 یہ مجلسِ یونان ہو، یا ایوانِ قیصرو کسریٰ، یہ خلافتِ بنو عباس ہو یا محمود غزنوی کا دربار، یہ اندلس کا الحمراء ہو یا ہندوستان کا شہنشاہ’’ جلال الدین محمد اکبر۔

 تاریخ شاہد ہے کہ استاد کی عظمت سے اس قدر بلند پایہ اولو العزم حکمران بھی واقف تھے

آج اگر اہلِ مغرب ہم سے اس قدر آگے نکل گئے ہیں تو اس کی وجہ یہ ہے کہ وہ استاد کا اصل مقام جانتے ہیں۔ اگر پبلک ٹرانسپورٹ میں کوئی سیٹ خالی نہ ہو تو پھر بھی لوگ قوم کے استاد کے لیے سیٹ خالی کردیتے ہیں۔ وہاں عدالت میں استاد کی گواہی کو پادری کی گواہی سے زیادہ مستند سمجھا جاتا ہے۔ امریکہ میں رواج ہے کہ جب کوئی طالب علم کامیابی حاصل کرتا ہے تو وہ اپنے استاد کو سلیوٹ کرتا ہے ، بالکل ویسے جیسے ایک سپاہی اپنے افسر کو سلیوٹ کرتے ہیں۔

کوئی بھی کچھ جانتا ہے تو معلم کے طفیل

کوئی بھی کچھ مانتا ہے تو معلم کے طفیل

گر معلم ہی نہ ہوتا دہر میں تو خاک تھی

صرف ادراکِ جنوں تھا اور قبا ناچاک تھی

تاریخ کی کتابوں میں لکھا ہے کہ جب ہندوستان کی انگریز حکومت نے حضرت علامہ اقبال ؒ کو سر کا خطاب دینے کا ارادہ کیا تو اقبال ؒ کو وقت کے گورنر نے اپنےدفتر آنے کی دعوت دی۔ اقبال نےیہ خطاب لینے سے انکار کردیا۔ جس پر گورنر بے حد حیران ہوا۔ وجہ دریافت کی تو اقبالؒ نے فرمایا:۔ ’’میں صرف ایک صورت میں یہ خطاب وصول کرسکتا ہوں کہ پہلے میرے استاد مولوی میرحسنؒ کو ’’شمس العلماء‘‘ کا خطاب دیا جائے‘‘۔

یہ سن کر انگریز گورنر نے کہا:۔

’’ڈاکٹر صاحب! آپ کو تو’’سر‘‘کا خطاب اس لیے دیا جا رہا ہے کہ آپ بہت بڑے شاعر ہیں۔ آپ نے کتابیں تخلیق کی ہیں، بڑے بڑے مقالات تخلیق کیے ہیں۔ بڑے بڑے نظریات تخلیق کیے ہیں۔ لیکن آپ کے استاد مولوی میر حسنؒ صاحب نے کیا تخلیق کیا ہے…؟‘‘

یہ سن کر حضرت علامہ اقبالؒ نے جواب دیا کہ:۔

’’مولوی میر حسن نے اقبال تخلیق کیا ہے‘‘

 یہ سن کر انگریز گورنر نے حضرت علامہ اقبالؒ کی بات مان لی اور اْن کے کہنے پر مولوی میر حسن ؒ کو’’شمس العلماء‘‘ کا خطاب دینے کا فیصلہ کرلیا۔ اس پر مستزاد علامہ صاحب نے مزید کہا کہ:۔

’’میرے استاد مولوی میر حسن ؒ کو ’’شمس العلماء‘‘ کا خطاب دینے کے لیے یہاں سرکاری دفاتر میں نہ بلایا جائے بلکہ اْن کو یہ خطاب دینے کے لیے سرکاری تقریب کو سیالکوٹ میں منعقد کیا جائے ، یعنی میرے استاد کے گھر‘‘

اور پھر ایسا ہی کیا گیا۔ مولوی میر حسنؒ کو آج کوئی بھی نہ جانتا اگر وہ علامہ اقبالؒ کے استاد نہ ہوتے۔لیکن آج وہ شمس العلماء مولوی میر حسن ؒکے نام سے جانے جاتے ہیں

الغرض استاد کا مقام اور عظمت ہر شے سے بُلند ہے۔ حتیٰ کہ خود رسولِ اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا استاد اللہ تعالیٰ کو کہا جاتا ہے۔اور رسولِ اکرم کی حدیث پاک ہے کہ’’مجھے معلم بنا کر بھیجا گیا‘‘۔ جس سے ثابت ہوتا ہے کہ حضورصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے لیے تاجر کا خطاب پسند نہ کیا حالانکہ آپ حجاز کے ایک کامیاب ترین تاجر تھے آپ نے اپنے لیے پسند کیا تو معلم یعنی استاد کا رتبہ ۔ چنانچہ استاد کی عظمت سے کچھ بھی بڑھ کر نہیں ہے۔Ayub Khan took the Queen of Britain and her husband to Abbottabad Burn Hall School during her visit to Pakistan.  To be, the children said doctor, engineer, army officer, pilot, and so on.

 He became a little quiet. At lunch, he told Ayub Khan that he should think about the future of his country. I talked to twenty children.  No one said that he has to become a teacher and it is very dangerous ... Ayub Khan just smiled and couldn't answer and this is a moment of reflection for us

 This is the great building of civilization that stands today.  Behind this is the hand of the same kind and respected person who is called the mentor or teacher.  The great kings of the world, whose necks were always stiff, always bowed before their masters. "  Like a student of the first teacher

  Be it the Majlis of Greece, or the House of Caesar Kasra, be it the Caliphate of Banu Abbas or the court of Mahmud Ghaznavi, be it the Alhambra of Andalusia or the Emperor of India, Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar.

  History has shown that such a high-minded ruler was aware of the greatness of the teacher

 If the people of the West are so far ahead of us today, it is because they know the true position of the teacher.  If there are no vacancies in public transport, people still vacate the seats for the nation's teacher.  There, the testimony of the teacher in court is considered more authentic than the testimony of the pastor.  It is customary in the United States for a student to salute his teacher when he succeeds, just as a soldier salutes his officer.

 Anyone knows anything, thanks to the teacher

 If anyone believes something, it is because of the teacher

 If he had not been a teacher, there would have been dust in Dahr

 There was only the perception of jinn and the robe was ugly

 It is written in the history books that when the British government of India intended to address Hazrat Allama Iqbal, the then Governor invited Iqbal to his office.  Iqbal refused to take the speech.  The governor was astonished.  When asked the reason, Iqbal said:  "I can only receive this address if my teacher Maulvi Mir Hassan is given the title of 'Shams-ul-Ulema' first."

 Hearing this, the British Governor said:

 ''Doctor!  You are being given the title of "Sir" because you are a great poet.  You have created books, you have created great articles.  Have created great ideas.  But what has your teacher Maulvi Mir Hassan Sahib created?

 Hearing this, Hazrat Allama Iqbal replied:

 "Maulvi Mir Hassan has created Iqbal."

  Hearing this, the British Governor obeyed Hazrat Allama Iqbal and at his request decided to give the title of "Shams-ul-Ulema" to Maulvi Mir Hassan.  On this, Mustazad Allama Sahib added:

 "My teacher Maulvi Mir Hassan should not be invited to government offices here to give the title of 'Shams-ul-Ulema' but an official function should be held in Sialkot to address him, ie at my teacher's house."  '

 And then it was done.  Maulvi Mir Hassan would not be known today if he were not the teacher of Allama Iqbal. But today he is known as Shams-ul-Ulema Maulvi Mir Hassan.

 Purpose The position and greatness of the teacher is above everything.  Even the teacher of the Holy Prophet (sws) himself is called Allah Almighty. And the hadith of the Holy Prophet (sws) is pure that "I was sent as a teacher".  Which proves that the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not like the title of merchant for himself even though he was one of the most successful merchants of Hijaz.  Therefore, nothing is greater than the greatness of the teacher.
